Laboratory of Medical Physics and Digital Innovation, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

The Laboratory of Medical Physics (MEDPHYS) is the largest laboratory of the School of Health Sciences, taking into account the number of researchers and the first in terms of the size of funding and the academic and research work produced. It is an important research and development center in assistive technologies for vulnerable populations, development and evaluation of biosensor systems, applied neurosciences, e-medical education, emotional computing, semantic web, machine brain interfaces, management and integration of heterogeneous medical data. It is the only Laboratory of AUTh that has ISO 9001-2015 in the design, development and production of software and the design and implementation of education and training programs. MEDPHYS coordinates many European projects.

Research University Institute
of Systems, Communications and Computers of the National Technical University of Athens

he Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) was founded in 1992. It was founded with the ‘charta’ to support the performance of top-quality research, development activities and the provision of scientific service to private and public bodies. Essentially the mission of ICCS was to support the deployment, the realization and the growth of the research priorities of ECE mainly through seeking, pursuing and acquiring research funding via the competitive calls for research proposals that the European Commission had instigated. In turn its purpose has been to build a research personnel base alongside ECE’s faculty so as to conduct state-of-the-art research and at the same time improve the research laboratory equipment base and infrastructures of the School.
